Importance of Proper Bearing Support

To ensure smooth and quiet operation of screw shafts, the use of suitable bearings is essential. Our screw conveyors are equipped with two bearing housings or flange bearings, strategically placed at a distance from the housing. One of these bearings is designed to absorb axial loads, contributing to the stability and durability of the system.

The choice depends on specific operating conditions and customer preferences:

For long screw conveyors, we use intermediate bearings with specially developed plate packs. These compensate for shaft stresses, minimize the impact of temperature and environmental factors, and reduce the risk of breakage. Continuous flights in each intermediate bearing minimize product buildup. The design allows for easy disassembly and assembly without removing the screw shafts.

Hanger bearing Systems Optimizing Screw Conveyors with Advanced Intermediate Bearings

Intermediate bearings with plate packs are used in long screw conveyors. When long lengths are involved, these bearings help compensate for stress in the intermediate/screw shafts. The use of plate packs reduces the need for precise alignment and minimizes the influence of temperature and environmental conditions on the steel structure. This significantly reduces the risk of breakage. To prevent product buildup, each intermediate bearing includes continuous flighting.

The plate pack can be disassembled and reassembled without having to remove the screw shafts.
