Efficient dewatering with screw presses
Klinkenberg designs robust dewatering presses for separating solids and liquids.
Almost every production process generates waste materials. Naturally, you want to handle these properly — and increasingly, you’re expected to do so sustainably. Compressing waste products using screw presses reduces volume and separates liquids from solids, which benefits the processing stage.
Klinkenberg Zaanstad designs both conventional and shaftless screw presses. The material to be separated is fed into the press via a feed hopper. Below the hopper, a dewatering system separates most of the liquid from the solid. The press screw then increases pressure and squeezes out the remaining moisture.
