Hybrid Lump Breaker

A Klinkenberg hybrid lump breaker is a combination of a sweep arm breaker with a pin breaker system at its core. This system enables coarse agglomerates to be reduced so they can be handled by the pin mechanism combined with a screen deck. This unique combination gives the hybrid breaker an extremely low installation height while performing two process steps.

Klinkenberg Lump Breakers Simple and Effective Solutions for Coarse Bulk Materials

Processing bulk materials is more efficient when they are free of lumps and hard agglomerates. Klinkenberg develops lump breakers that use breaker pins to reduce all coarse parts into processable agglomerates of around 10 to 15 mm.

Hybrid breakers have been used for many years in various industries where large agglomerates disrupt the process. The hybrid breaker combines the functionality of a pin breaker and a sweep arm breaker. Chunks up to 300 mm are first reduced by the pin mill, then swept through a fine screen in the sweep mill— resulting in a final fraction as small as 3 mm. This efficient all-in-one solution is ideal for applications such as dissolving powders in liquids or processing via pneumatic or vacuum conveying.
