Efficient Transport with Screw Flights

Screw Flight Strip is a practical solution for constructing screw shafts. Thanks to its easy installation — with the strip placed around the pipe in one go — you save valuable time. Many variants are available directly from stock in steel (St37) or stainless steel (304/316L), with diameters ranging from Ø50 to Ø500 mm and lengths from 1 to 3 meters.

Although screw flight strip is limited in material choice and dimensions, it is ideal for non-abrasive products. Note: due to the forming process, the edge is thinner than the core, making it less suitable for abrasive materials.

Choosing screw flight Efficiently produced from strip material for various applications

Screw flight is manufactured from strip material such as steel or stainless steel quality. Depending on the number of spiral turns, the total length of the screw flight is determined. Usually, the length of the spiral that can be rolled in one piece is about 3000 mm.

  • Lengths from 1000 mm to 3000 mm
  • Diameters from Ø80 to Ø400 mm
  • Material S235JRG2 or stainless steel 304
  • Thickness from 2.5 mm to 8 mm

Stock and properties Standard sizes quickly available – with attention to wear and application

The standard sizes up to Ø250 mm are available from stock in steel and stainless steel 304. An advantage is that no seams need to be welded. The downside is that due to the rolling process, the tip of the screw flight is thinner than the base at the core tube. Because the tip is somewhat thinner, the strand life is shorter than screw flights manufactured from flat plate.

Our Screw Flights Unmatched in its class!

Screw flights are limited in material, dimensions, and design. The advantage of screw flights is that they save time when building the screw shaft. Time is saved because the flight can be wrapped around the tube in one go, requiring only a limited number of seams to be welded. The downside is that the flight becomes conical due to deformation; the thickness on the inside of the flight is approximately 2 to 3 times thicker than the tip, which limits its applicability for transporting abrasive products.

Although screw flights are limited in material choice and dimensions, they are ideal for non-abrasive products. Note: due to the deformation process, the tip is thinner than the core, making it less suitable for abrasive materials.

Endless Screw Flight Made to MeasureAvailable in various materials, lengths, and tolerances – supplied loose or pre-assembled according to your specifications.

Endless screw flight in carbon or stainless steel, with tapered thickness from the core tube to the tip of the flight, with tolerances that meet international standards. The screw flight is available loose or pre-mounted on the core tube according to customer designs, requirements, and tolerances. Usually available from stock, they are supplied in lengths of 1 to 3 meters, with special lengths available on request.
