Shaftless screw conveyors enable transport at angles up to 30°. For some products, shaftless ribbons can even handle vertical transport without issues. Installing additional auxiliary spirals prevents backflow of the product. Screw flights have limitations regarding material, dimensions, and design. The advantage of screw flights is that they save time during the assembly of the screw shaft. Time is saved because the flight can be wrapped around the tube in one go, requiring only a limited number of seams to be welded. The downside is that the flight becomes conical due to deformation; the thickness on the inside of the flight is approximately 2 to 3 times thicker than the tip of the flight, which limits its applicability for conveying abrasive products.
Endless screw flight in carbon or stainless steel, with tapered thickness from the core tube to the tip of the flight, with tolerances that comply with international standards. The screw flight is available loose or pre-mounted on the core tube according to the designs, requirements, and tolerances of the customer. Normally available from stock, they are supplied in lengths from 1 to 3 meters; special lengths available on request.
